Bien-être

Le bien-être est un concept populaire aussi bien dans le monde de la recherche que dans la vie quotidienne. Le bien-être au sens large couvre aussi bien les conditions de vie objectives que les aspects subjectifs du bien-être (voir figure ci-dessous). Les conditions de vie objectives prennent en compte tous les domaines importants de la vie, tandis que le bien-être subjectif renvoie à trois dimensions des perceptions subjectives du bien-être de l’individu. Le bien-être dans un sens plus étroit se réfère à ces perceptions subjectives. FORS contribue à la recherche sur le bien-être subjectif en recueillant des données et en rédigeant des articles scientifiques sur le sujet. En outre, le bien-être subjectifa été le thème principal du Rapport social suisse 2016, édité par FORS.

FORS a édité le Rapport Social 2016, qui se focalise sur la thématique du bien-être : dans quelle mesure les Suissesses et les Suisses sont-ils satisfaits de leurs conditions de vie, à commencer par leur situation financière ? L’argent fait-il le bonheur ? Le fait de s’appuyer sur la religion donne-t-il toujours un sens à la vie ? Par ailleurs, les transformations démographiques, l’arrivée d’enfants mais aussi les séparations ont-elles un impact sur le bien-être ? De même, l’accroissement de la mobilité liée au travail ou aux loisirs change-t-il la satisfaction de la vie en général ? La participation politique est-elle un facteur d’épanouissement ou l’adage populaire « pour vivre heureux vivons cachés » est-il toujours d’actualité ?

Cet ouvrage contient, en plus d’une sélection de 75 indicateurs, cinq contributions analytiques qui se penchent sur la problématique du bien-être en abordant les thèmes suivants : revenus et contacts sociaux, distanciation à l’égard de la religion, bien-être et pauvreté, participation politique, environnement en tant que facteur de santé.
