Biography

Olivier Mucchiut has a Master of Science in Social and Intercultural Psychology from the University of Lausanne, and later gained experience in statistics and data management.

In 2024, he started working as a Junior SNSF Researcher for the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) and the SNSF project entitled “How did COVID-19 reframe end-of-life planning of older adults in Switzerland? Preferences, Communication, Knowledge, and Behaviors Regarding End of Life and End-of-life Planning before and during the COVID-19 crisis”.

Expertise

Olivier’s focus is on interdisciplinary research and quantitative methods. He advocates for transparent research that informs both the public and policymakers.

With the SHARE project, he collaborates on the survey’s operational side. With the SNSF project “How did COVID-19 reframe end-of-life planning of older adults in Switzerland? Preferences, Communication, Knowledge, and Behaviors Regarding End of Life and End-of-life Planning before and during the COVID-19 crisis”, he contributes to research activities and pursues an interdisciplinary doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Jurgen Maurer.
