Biography

Carmen Borrat-Besson (maiden name: Faustinelli) is Senior Researcher at FORS. She studied psychology and sociology at the University of Fribourg, where she graduated in 2006. She then moved to the University of Lugano, where she obtained her PhD in Communication Sciences at the Institute of Health and Communication (ICH) in 2010.

Expertise

Since 2010, she is the Swiss country team operator of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) and responsible for all operational aspects of the study. She works on different research projects related to well-being and frailty in old age as well as end-of-life decisions.
