Biography

Penelope Weissman has a BSc in Information Science with a specialisation in Records Management and Archiving from the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons. She has worked for an archival services company where she gained several years of experience in physical and digital archiving of various projects and assisting archive users with their research. As an Information Specialist, she was also instrumental in developing and implementing policies and procedures, training staff in the digital preservation process, as well as coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders. Penelope joined FORS in 2022.

Expertise

At FORS, Penelope works on SWISSUbase, primarily supporting and coordinating the Data Service Units at the partner institutions and developing training materials and guides for SWISSUbase users. FORS and the partner institutions profit from her profound archiving expertise.
