Biography

Emilie Morgan de Paula studied at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Fribourg and completed an M.A. in Sociology. In addition, she participated in a teacher training at the Language Center of the University of Fribourg and obtained a teaching degree in French as a foreign language. She currently works at FORS in the DMAS (Data Management and Archive Services) unit. Previously, she worked on various research projects at the University of Applied Sciences and Art Western Switzerland and at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) in the field of Health Sciences (notably the European PACE project), as well as at the University of Fribourg.

Expertise

The research interests of Emilie Morgan de Paula include data management, health, migration patterns and foreign language learning. As a researcher she participated in different projects focusing on burnout and palliative care, migration and professional socialization. At FORS Emilie is currently part of the DMS (Data Management Services) team, helping to develop and promote infrastructures and services that support research data management and open science (reproducibility, data protection, etc.). She is also editor of FORS Guides, a series of publications that summarize practical knowledge concerning survey methods and data management.
