Biography

Elie Michel is researcher at FORS and at the University of Lausanne. He is also an Associate Research at the CEVIPOF (Centre de recherches politiques de Sciences Po)
and a Fellow of the European Governance and Politics Program of the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies (EUI). Prior to that, he was researcher and lecturer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Sciences Po Paris, and the University of Lucerne.

Expertise

Elie’s research interests include comparative political behaviour, public opinion, political parties, and elections, with a specific interest for the study of populist radical right movements. His recent works focuses on the impact of crises on electoral behaviour. At FORS he develops this research agenda within the Consortium of National Elections Studies (CNES) and the emerging Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem) infrastructure.
