Elie Michel is a researcher at FORS and the University of Lausanne. He is also an Associate Researcher at CEVIPOF (Centre de recherches politiques de Sciences Po) and a Fellow of the European Governance and Politics Program at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (EUI). Previously, he was a researcher and lecturer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Sciences Po Paris, and the University of Lucerne.
Elie’s research interests include comparative political behavior, public opinion, political parties, and elections, with a specific focus on populist radical right movements. His recent work focuses on the impact of crises on electoral behavior. At FORS, he develops this research agenda within the Consortium of National Election Studies (CNES) and Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem) infrastructure.
