Biography

Marieke Voorpostel is the deputy head of the Swiss Household Panel. She received her PhD in sociology from Utrecht University in 2007. She was a postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University and a visiting scholar at the Department of Sociology of the University of Oxford. She started working for the Swiss Household Panel in 2008.

Expertise

Marieke Voorpostel is involved in all aspects of methodology and data quality of the Swiss Household Panel. She is also the editor of the FORS Working Paper Series. Her research focuses on various topics within the field of family sociology, an on the topic of wellbeing. She also studies methodological questions in survey research, notably related to the impact of attrition and mixed-mode data collection on the quality of longitudinal survey data.
