Biography

Monika is a communications professional with an M.A. in English and German literature and linguistics from the University of Lausanne. Monika has over 12 years’ experience in academic publishing in Switzerland and abroad as Managing and Production Editor of academic books and journals. She worked for the following publishers: Peter Lang (Berne), Routledge Taylor & Francis (Oxford) and Editions Slatkine (Geneva).

Expertise

Monika leads the strategic and operational communications at FORS, managing internal and external communications, media relations, and press releases. She also plays a central role in organizing academic conferences and workshops, overseeing the multilingual FORS website and managing the institution’s social media presence. In addition to her work in web publishing, Monika is experienced in translation and serves on the editorial boards of the online journal Survey Insights, Methods from the Field and the series Social Change in Switzerland.
