Clément Meier completed a PhD in the Humanities and Social Sciences of Medicine and Health at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lausanne. He was the first to defend his PhD as part of this new interdisciplinary program. Prior to this, he completed a Master of Science in Economics (HEC) with a focus on Microeconomics and Quantitative Tools. During his master’s thesis, he worked as a research assistant for Professor Jürgen Maurer with the Swiss operator team of the SHARE Survey. In 2024, he started as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne.
Clément Meier’s interests are in public health; he is committed to reducing inequalities and inequities in health through impactful research. His work focuses on health literacy related to end-of-life issues and their association with end-of-life care decision-making and planning in the older population living in Switzerland.
