Download LIVES FORS Cohort data
The National Centre of Competence in Research LIVES launched a cohort study, which includes only individuals born between 1988 and 1997 and attended school in Switzerland prior to the age of 10. The sample over-represents second generation immigrants, i.e. respondents whose parents were both born abroad and who have arrived in Switzerland after the age of 18 years. The aim of this study was to build an extensive sample of second generation immigrants across Switzerland, to follow this population over time and to compare them with their age-mates, who at least one parent was born in Switzerland. 1’691 individuals have participated in the first wave. This study used a biographical questionnaire foe the first wave and has been using the SHP questionnaire ever since.
