Emilie Morgan de Paula studied at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Fribourg and completed an M.A. in Sociology. In addition, she participated in a teacher training at the Language Center of the University of Fribourg and obtained a teaching degree in French as a foreign language. She currently works at FORS for data promotion and at the University of Applied Sciences and Art Western Switzerland in the field of Health Science.
The research interests of Emilie Morgan de Paula include health, migration patterns, foreign language learning. As a researcher she participated in different projects focusing on burnout and palliative care, migration and professional socialization. At FORS she is currently developing a European question bank, while at the University of Applied Sciences and Art Western Switzerland she is working on a European research project on strengthening palliative care in response to ageing population in Europe.
