Biography

Ursina Kuhn studied political science and economics at the University of Zurich, where she also obtained her PhD. She works since 2006 for the Swiss Household Panel and has been engaged in different projects at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Neuchâtel. Ursina Kuhn is responsible for income variables and tax simulation in the SHP and teaches methods for panel data.

Expertise

Ursina Kuhn has research experience in political science, sociology and economics, mainly using panel data. She is involved in different areas of research: income inequality in Switzerland, stability of voting behaviour (PhD), life satisfaction, labour supply decisions and has implemented a simulation of taxes for the SHP. She is currently co-investigator for the project “Wealth distribution in Switzerland and Germany: Evidence from Survey Data” financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the German Research Foundation.
