Biography

Ursina Kuhn studied political science and economics at the University of Zurich, where she also obtained her PhD. She joined the Swiss Household Panel in 2006 and has been  involved in several research projects as co-investigator or senior researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Neuchâtel and the Berne University of Applied Sciences. Ursina Kuhn is responsible for income variables and tax simulation in the SHP and teaches methods for panel data.

Expertise

Ursina Kuhn has research experience in political science, sociology and economics, mainly using panel data. She is involved in several research areas: income and wealth inequality in Switzerland, political behavior (party preferences, political participation), life satisfaction, unemployment, poverty attributions and labor supply decisions  and has implemented a tax simulation of taxes for the SHP.
