Alexandre Pollien studied sociology and anthropology at the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva. He was a research and teaching assistant at the University of Lausanne before he joint FORS. He is working at FORS since 2008.
Alexandre Pollien conducted research on social networks of drug addicts and homeless. He worked in the field of social work, low-threshold assistance. After a job of assistant in sociology of education, he developed analyses of training courses and also worked in the field of sociology of family, couples and life course. Alexandre Pollien wrote some papers in social theory: Rousseau, Durkheim, theories of normativity. He is also specialized in research about qualitative analysis method and quantitative methods. He is currently working on survey methodology and social theory.
