Biography

Monika Vettovaglia holds an M.A. (Licence ès Lettres) in English and German literature and linguistics from the University of Lausanne. Monika has over 12 years experience in academic publishing in Switzerland and abroad as Managing and Production Editor of academic books and journals. She worked for the following publishers: Peter Lang (Berne), Routledge Taylor & Francis (Oxford) and Editions Slatkine (Geneva). Monika Vettovaglia joined FORS in 2013 as Communications Officer.

Expertise

Monika is in charge of the strategic and operational management of the communication at FORS. She is responsible for the internal and external communication, deals with media requests, writes press releases, co-organises academic conferences and workshops. She also deals with web publishing and maintains the FORS website. Monika is on the editorial board of the online journal Survey Insights, Methods from the Field (http://www.surveyinsights.org) and Social Change in Switzerland (http://www.socialchangeswitzerland.ch). She is also a member of the management board of the Swiss publisher SEISMO.
