Biography

Boris Wernli has a Ph.D. in political sciences from the University of Geneva. He started to work on the Swiss Household Panel as Scientific Officer. He then became Deputy Director of the said panel. Since 2008, Boris Wernli is Head of surveys and member of Executive Board at FORS. Since 2009, he is giving courses at the University of Lausanne in the domain of survey methodology in the social sciences, visualisation and graphical analysis.

Expertise

Boris Wernli has more than 20 years experience in survey methodology. He conducts research in various fields of social sciences. Whether in the study of voting behavior, the impact of life events on various aspects affecting the family or well-being of individuals, or the sharing of tasks and resources within households. He favors a longitudinal perspective oriented towards the study of social change and the consideration of the interactions within the family. Boris is also responsible for data collection and analysis projects in collaboration with colleagues at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lausanne. He also has close links with the Swiss Centre of Expertise in Lifecourse Research LIVES.
